First daffodil spotted!

The very first brave daffodil pokes out of the grass and dead leaves, under blue skies in sunny but chilly Russell Square. A welcome sign of spring to come.

First signs of spring

Spring is starting in the Bloomsbury Squares – blossom spotted in Bedford Square and Russell Square, together with a lone early daffodil and the promise of many more to come. Volunteers planted thousands of bulbs last autumn. This weekend is RSPB Big Bird Watch. See what you can spot.
