Walking through Bedford Square on the sunniest day this first week of January, the wonderful scent of early flowering viburnum bushes was unmistakeable, lifting the spirits. Bulbs are bravely starting to poke through, though the soil is very compacted from the snow and rain. We have to get through a couple of winter months yet, but here are signs that spring is on its way in the Bloomsbury Gardens.
