Here’s a rare opportunity to purchase a lovely picture of Red Lion Square Gardens in the Spring.
The original watercolour was painted by Nick Andrew in the square, with jottings about what was happening on that day in April to one side. It is part of a series he made for a book, Bloomsbury Squares and Gardens, published in 2020, about the leafy garden squares in this important London neighbourhood.
The artist has kindly donated a print to be sold for the benefit of the Friends of Red Lion Square Gardens. Now mounted in an aluminium frame, it measures 71 cm x 41 cm. It is to be sold by auction, starting on Wednesday 10 March at 9.00, ending on Saturday 20th March at 18.00.

This print, and prints of the other Bloomsbury squares, are also available from Nick Andrew’s studio.
