If you get round to the tiny Marchmont Community Garden very soon you might catch the first brood of young blackbirds to be born in 2018.

I first spotted them yesterday when one of our younger garden users (aged 4) pointed them out to me. Judging by recent activity in the ivy wall, there are more broods to come – and indeed a second brood emerged yesterday. Keep looking out!
